My Training

I hold a Master’s degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling and I am a qualified EMDR therapist. My work is grounded in trauma‑informed, relational practice, strengthened through advanced training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté.

Over the years, I have sought out learning from some of the most respected voices in trauma and nervous‑system‑based psychotherapy. This includes international training with leaders such as Deb Dana, Bessel van der Kolk, Janina Fisher and other pioneers shaping the field of contemporary trauma work. Their teachings continue to influence the depth, sensitivity, and attunement I bring to my clinical practice.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My clinical experience spans NHS IAPT services, international private healthcare, and community‑based projects. I have supported clients across a wide range of settings, including:

  • One‑to‑one therapy — in‑depth, relational work tailored to individual needs
  • Group facilitation — supporting shared exploration and connection
  • Psychoeducational workshops — teaching emotional health and trauma‑informed understanding
  • Private practice and residential care — offering continuity and depth of support
  • In‑person and online formats — accessible, flexible therapeutic engagement

I am committed to ongoing professional development. I regularly attend international conferences, specialist trainings, and clinical workshops to stay current with emerging research and best practice in mental health care. This continual learning allows me to integrate evidence‑based approaches with a grounded, compassionate therapeutic presence.
